Unity Park (Grand Palace)

Inside the once-forbidden Grand Palace grounds, Unity Park combines Emperor Menelik II's restored throne house and banquet hall with landscaped gardens, pavilions for each Ethiopian region, and a small zoo with lions and black-maned rarities. It's the easiest way to walk through 130 years of imperial history in one afternoon.

Foreigners pay around USD 20; bring your passport for security checks and note bags/cameras may be restricted. Open roughly 9am-4pm, closed some Mondays.
