This colossal modern cathedral near the airport is among the largest Orthodox churches in Africa, its dome and towers visible across Bole. Come during a major feast or Sunday service to witness thousands of white-shawled worshippers and hypnotic Ge'ez chanting spilling into the courtyard.

Early Sunday morning (from ~6am) is the most atmospheric time; remove shoes before entering and dress modestly.
