Gullele Botanic Garden
ጉለሌ የዕፅዋት ማዕከል
Jointly run by the city and Addis Ababa University, this vast botanic reserve on the western Entoto slopes protects hundreds of indigenous and endemic plant species, with walking trails, viewpoints and picnic lawns. Birders love it, and it's one of the quietest green spaces in the capital.
☀️ Local tip
Entry is cheap (tens of birr). Stick to main trails or hire a guide — the forest is big enough to get genuinely lost in, and wildlife includes hyenas after dusk.
