Addis Ababa literally exists because of these hot springs — Empress Taytu loved bathing here, and the city grew around them. Today the Filwoha complex offers cheap public thermal baths, private tubs and massages in delightfully faded surroundings, fed by naturally 40-50°C mineral water.
☀️ Local tip
Bring your own towel and flip-flops; private rooms cost a bit more than the very cheap public baths. Mornings are cleanest and quietest.
